The second national workshop of the Clean Fleets project

The second national workshop of the EU-funded Clean Fleets project, organised by the Zagreb City Holding Ltd. project team, was held on 28 May 2015 at Hotel International in Zagreb, Miramarska 24. The project is co-funded by the EU from the Intelligent Energy Europe programme.

The objectives of the workshop were to:
  • Explain the implementation of Directive 2009/33/EC on the promotion of clean and energy-efficient road transport vehicles in tenders for the procurement of energy efficient vehicles,
  • Present the advantages of procurement that allows an environmentally friendly and budget-friendly choice of propulsion technologies and fuels,
  • Present good practice examples demonstrating the use of energy-efficient vehicles in public transit in Croatian and other European cities,
  • Raise the level of awareness in the business community about the advantages of using energy-efficient vehicles, and help the national market learn about the vehicles with higher energy and environmental standards more quickly.  
                   




 Representatives of privately owned and state-owned companies that have large fleets and institutions in the fields of energy efficiency and promotion of the use of renewable energy sources in transport participated in the workshop.
