Podsljeme mobile recycling centre open for business

Podsljeme mobile recycling centre open for business
1 October 2020

Today, in Podsljeme City District, the President of the Management Board of Zagreb Holding, Ana Stojić Deban, commissioned the Podsljeme mobile recycling centre. This allows citizens to hand over more than 30 different types of waste free of charge on business days and Saturdays, from 6.30 AM to 8.00 PM.

“The ninth mobile recycling centre is now open for business. In Zagreb, there are 20 recycling centres in total, nine of which are mobile and eleven of which are non-mobile. City of Zagreb has met its legal obligation to provide each city district with at least one recycling centre. However, it does not intend to stop here,” said Ana Stojić Deban, President of the Management Board of Zagreb Holding.

The waste that had been sorted by citizens and brought to the mobile recycling centre is stored there temporarily, as no waste processing takes place at the site, which means that waste management activities do not end at the recycling centre; instead, there is more frequent collection and removal of the sorted waste, which is ultimately managed by certified waste management companies.

Total value of the investment is about HRK 800,000.
